The Santa Rosa Fire Department has outlined recommendations for safe and effective post-storm cleanup tips, which include thoroughly assessing your surroundings before initiating cleanup efforts, prioritizing safety by wearing protective gear such as gloves, sturdy footwear, and eye protection, and seeking professional assistance for downed trees and large-scale debris. The City is Looking for Farm Animals that Need a Place to Graze!
The City of Santa Rosa is interested in partnering with the community to find farm animals that can graze on land that the Santa Rosa Water Department manages. The City's Farm Animal Grazing Weed Abatement Program is part of the City's Weed Management Program. Eligible parties must be an existing agricultural water reuse and ag lease vendor or customer. The grazing program lasts for approximately five months. The City is accepting applications between Feb. 1-15, after which a list will be generated and participants for 2024 will be contacted.
