New Down Payment Assistance Loan Programs Provide up to $175,000 to First-time Homebuyers
Two new down payment assistance loan programs are now available for first-time homebuyers who qualify in Santa Rosa. The City of Santa Rosa’s Down Payment Loan Assistance Program is funded by $2 million from the City’s 2017 wildfire settlement with PG&E. Santa Rosa residents with moderate income at 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or below are eligible to apply to the program for a deferred interest loan of up to $75,000 towards purchasing a first home within the city limits. Qualifying Santa Rosa residents may also apply for a loan through Burbank Housing’s CALHome Program, which offers first-time homebuyers with low income at 80% AMI or below up to $100,000 in down payment loan assistance. CityBus Transitioning to a New Real-Time Bus Location Information System
Santa Rosa Transit is excited to announce that CityBus has started installation on a new real-time bus tracking and automated information system. As we transition to the new system, access to real-time bus location information will be reduced for riders and transit staff. This disruption to access is expected to last through September. The new system will provide a higher-level experience for riders and staff at a lower cost while improving the speed and accuracy of real-time bus location information. Digital signs will be placed at high-use bus stops to provide real-time bus locations to further enhance the CityBus experience. READ MORE
