City Earns Prohousing Designation, Fueling Work to Meet Critical Housing Needs
The City of Santa Rosa has received the State of California’s Prohousing Designation, recognizing the City as a leader in addressing the housing crisis. The coveted designation gives Santa Rosa added points when competing for affordable housing, transportation, and infrastructure dollars and allows the City to speed up and scale up its efforts to meet critical housing needs. To date, 27 California communities have earned the distinction, and Santa Rosa is ranked second overall for its prohousing initiatives. The City is on track to create 4,685 new housing units by 2031, including 1,919 affordable housing units. LEARN MORE
