Housing Element Approved and Certified!
On Feb. 14, the City Council adopted an update of the Housing Element, a portion of the General Plan Update (Santa Rosa Forward) currently in process. This step completes a state requirement to address housing needs for an eight-year cycle from 2023-2031. Following Council approval, the adopted Housing Element was submitted to the State Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) for certification, which was certified on April 7. The City is among the first in the Bay Area to receive certification.
The City thanks the community for being involved in this process, and we invite you to continue with us as we complete the remainder of the General Plan this summer. READ MORE
