Fulton Road Improvements Project to begin RCC Paving; Lane Closures and Significant Traffic Delays are Anticipated
The southbound lanes on Fulton Road between Piner Road and Jenes Lane are scheduled to be temporarily closed beginning the week of April 10, weather permitting, for the concrete paving phase of the Fulton Road Improvements Project. Extensive traffic control measures will be in place while this section of Fulton Road is reconstructed using the Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) process. RCC paving provides a more durable, lower-maintenance, and much longer-lasting pavement surface. However, this concrete application process takes longer to cure than asphalt, requiring additional temporary traffic control measures. When traveling in and near the construction areas, use additional caution, be prepared for temporary traffic control measures, and when possible, avoid traveling through the area. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to widen and improve this important roadway. READ MORE
