Atmospheric River and Wind to Impact Santa Rosa Starting Thursday Night – Prepare Now!

The National Weather Service Bay Area has issued a Flood Watch for the entire Bay Area from Thursday afternoon, March 9, through Sunday morning, March 12. In addition, a Wind Advisory has been issued from Thursday at 1 p.m. to Friday at 4 p.m. With the storm, there is an increased potential for an atmospheric river to impact our region starting Thursday, March 9, and continuing into the weekend, which is forecasted to bring excessive rain, strong gusty winds and thunderstorms.

Residents are encouraged to use breaks in the rain before the onset of rains on Thursday to survey and prepare their properties. Clear gutters and storm drains to avoid backups and secure loose outdoor items. Visit SRCity.org/Storms to prepare.
