Freeze Warning, Snow Possible -- City’s Warming Center to Open
The National Weather Service Bay Area (NWS) has issued a Freeze Warning for tonight. City of Santa Rosa residents and businesses can expect freezing temperatures, winds, thunderstorms, rain and possibly snow starting today, Wednesday, Feb. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 25. LEARN MORE
Seeking Community Input on a Possible Future Rail Crossing at Jennings Avenue
The City of Santa Rosa and the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit District (SMART) are hosting a hybrid community meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, to discuss options for a pedestrian and bicycle rail crossing at Jennings Avenue and alternative routes. Residents may attend the community meeting in-person at Helen Lehman Elementary School or through Zoom. Individuals who cannot attend the community meeting but wish to provide input are encouraged to visit SRCity.org/JenningsCrossing to watch the recorded meeting and provide online feedback following the meeting. Neighborhood Services’ Spring/Summer Recreation Programs for Underserved Youth are Now Available
The spring/summer Neighborhood Services’ Program Guide is available and full of low and no-cost activities for youth and families living within Santa Rosa’s priority neighborhoods. These programs are provided by the Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks Department and the Violence Prevention Partnership and are supported in part by a quarter-cent, voter-approved sales tax initiative to make our community stronger.
