While we welcomed the rain last weekend, the drought is still here. The water supply in Lake Sonoma, which stores a substantial portion of the region’s drinking water, is historically low. Lake Sonoma holds multiple years of water supply for the region, but the National Weather Service now predicts a high likelihood of La Niña conditions persisting through early winter. As such, we all need to make a concerted effort to save water immediately for the potential dry period ahead. Santa Rosa and the region have done a fantastic job of achieving water savings, which is excellent news because we can stretch our supplies, as every drop counts. We need your help to save water this fall. Learn about water-saving tips, rebates, free devices, and more. LEARN MORE

Santa Rosa Water Team Spotlight
Storm Water and Creeks
The City of Santa Rosa’s Storm Water and Creeks team is dedicated to enhancing and improving the health of Santa Rosa’s 100 miles of creeks. This dynamic team of engineers, technicians, biologists, and support staff works collaboratively with community partners to prevent harmful materials from entering our creeks, enhance flood protection, improve water quality, and restore habitat for fish and a variety of wildlife that live in our neighborhood creeks. The team has a robust Creek Stewardship program that relies on volunteers for creek cleanups and environmental education. GET INVOLVED
