The City of Santa Rosa sent this bulletin at 08/18/2022 04:02 PM PDT
Our community is experiencing severe drought, and Santa Rosa Water needs your help to preserve our precious water supply during this emergency. Santa Rosa’s water-savings experts implore residents to evaluate outdoor water use, as it consumes nearly 50% of an average household’s summertime use. Start saving by reducing irrigation run times, checking your system for leaks, and making the appropriate repairs. The Santa Rosa Water team is dedicated and available to provide assistance to achieve water savings. Call 707-543-3985 or send an email to WaterSmart@srcity.org for advice from a WaterSmart technician. In addition, Santa Rosa Water offers a variety of water-saving rebates. Kick your savings into high gear by replacing your lawn with a drought-tolerant landscape. Check out the city’s Cash for Grass rebate, where residents can earn up to $1.50 per square foot, up to $1,500, and potentially save 5,000 gallons of water each year. To help you get your transformation started, Santa Rosa Water is offering a free and convenient Lawn Gone: Sheet Mulching 101 webinar on September 1. FIND MORE WAYS TO SAVE
