Greetings Creek Lovers,
It's concert time at Flat Rock Park! Brush Creek flows, trickles, plunges and falls to its confluence with Santa Rosa Creek. Moving water gurgles, murmurs, warbles, babbles and crashes as it cascades over the flat rocks. Sometimes the creek seems to be talking to itself. Creeks are celebrating the recent rains, singing louder for all to hear. Experience a combination of peaceful and exciting creek music at the magical Flat Rock Park.
Join us on Saturday, December 14th from 9:30-11:30 for a morning of stewardship and wonder. Tasks include picking up trash, pulling invasive weed species and planting a new patch of sedge. I'm sure we will all enjoy the creek serenade while working to improve the beauty and quality of habitat at this special place.
Hope to enjoy some creek carols with you,
Alistair

Flat Rock Park is home to many species of birds, including the northern mockingbird. Mockingbirds are known for imitating the songs of other birds (and other sounds, including cats and cars!) and will often sing at night.
