Hello Creek Stewards,
We are having a restoration party and inviting the Laguna Stewards to team up and continue the beautiful work happening on Santa Rosa Creek at Streamside Drive! Don't be worried that the Laguna Stewards come from the low point in the watershed. They meet monthly and work on all aspects of restoration on sites in the Laguna de Santa Rosa and its tributary creeks. It will be a real treat to show them a middle reach of Santa Rosa Creek.
We will be working in a glorious, mature riparian forest on Saturday, November 16th. Although the Santa Rosa Creek Trail will always be within view, it is easy to feel like you have entered a remote, old growth forest. Our tasks will include planting sedges in the understory of those big old trees, continuing to remove invasive blackberry and picking up trash for anyone who just can't get enough of that.
