Subject: Notice of Case Management Program Name and Acronym Changes

As of July 1, 2026, please note the following changes as part of the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA), and Full-Service Partnership (FSP) implementation:
- The Strengths-Based Case Management (SBCM) model of service will transition to the Intensive Case Management (ICM) model of service and will be renamed as Intensive Case Management (ICM).
- Institutional Case Management program acronym will be updated from ICM to CM-Inst.
These updates are intended to enhance service coordination, strengthen support for individuals with higher levels of need, and align our practices with the countywide implementation of the BHSA service structure.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we implement these important changes.
