Exhibitor Applications Now Open!
Join us to Connect, Collaborate, and Exhibit at the Live Well Advance & School Summit Connection Hub on October 22 at the San Diego Convention Center. Showcase your organization’s programs, initiatives, and resources with a highly engaged audience as we celebrate 15 years of collective impact.
Exhibitor spaces are free. Priority will be given to Live Well San Diego Recognized Partners. To encourage engagement, interactive booths are required.
Applications are open through July 23.
Prevent Heat Stroke While Hiking
For many, summer is a time to enjoy nature and take in the beautiful views along San Diego County’s trails. But emergency responders are reminding hikers that ignoring heat warnings or overestimating their physical ability in extreme temperatures can be dangerous. Taking simple precautions — like hiking early, staying hydrated, and choosing shaded routes — can help prevent heat-related emergencies.

 Tijuana River Valley Sewage Community Survey Results Complete
The results are in from a second, larger community survey where 2,099 people in San Diego’s South Bay completed questionnaires about their experiences living, working or recreating near the Tijuana River Valley and polluted beaches from the border to Coronado.

Gleaning in Chula Vista - Gleaning is the collection of surplus food from farms, gardens, and backyards to address food insecurity. Community members can donate extra backyard fruit or volunteer as gleaners or drivers with ProduceGood. Opportunities are open to all ages, families, and groups.

Maryann Jackson Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship offers 5 winners a $100 gift card for dorm essentials. Applicants must be African American, a U.S. citizen, have attended a California Community College, and be enrolled at a Historically Black College/University for Fall 2025.

2025 Health Professional Student Scholarship: As of January 2025, NHHF has awarded over $2.5 million to 507 scholarship recipients. This year, NHHF will select 30 scholars to receive the Health Care Scholars United Scholarship, funded by the United Health Foundation with awards in the amount $5,000, that can be renewed annually for up to four years, as well as individual scholarship awards of $2,000 for each selected scholar.

Angels is now an enrolled ECM (Enhanced Care Management) provider and currently accepting referrals!
- Angels ECM Services provides intensive, in-home support tailored to each family’s needs.
- Teen Pregnancy & Parenting Resource Center supports young parents through prenatal care, childbirth education, and parenting guidance.
Both programs are designed to reduce barriers, build parenting skills, and connect families with vital resources. These programs serve children and teens with past or present involvement with the child welfare system
There is no waitlist—referrals can be sent to referrals@angelsfoster.org.

Neighborhood House Association
San Diego’s leader in free or low-cost child development and family services. Neighborhood House Association’s Early Head Start and Head Start are available to families with children 0-5 that are of low-income, experiencing homelessness, or have a child with disabilities or in foster care. The curriculum is research-based, individualized, developmentally appropriate and designed to develop Kindergarten readiness skills. Home-Based services in the comfort of families’ home are also available.

Free Summer Meals for Kids & Teens
When school’s out, nutritious & delicious meals are still served for all kids and teens (18 & under). The program is from June 9th to August 1st and meals will be served from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Some locations have fun nutrition education, reading activities, and special lunchtime events like crafts & animal visits on June 10th & 24th at 12:30 PM.
