 What I Wish My Parents Knew Forum at Mira Mesa High School
The San Diego Unified School District, Mira Mesa High School, Challenger and Wangenheim Middle School, in partnership with the County of San Diego Department of Strategy and Community Engagement and SAY San Diego, are hosting a caregiver/parent-youth forum to address key topics affecting youth and families, promoting health and well-being, and connecting a variety of resources. NEW! Community Facilities Direct Loan & Grant Program in CA - This program provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in rural areas. An essential community facility is defined as a facility that provides an essential service to the local community for the orderly development of the community in a primarily rural area, and does not include private, commercial or business undertakings. Eligible borrowers include public bodies, community-based non-profit corporations, and federally recognized tribes.

NEW! Black Infant Health Program
The San Diego County Black Infant Health Program (BIH) is a FREE supportive service for pregnant women and new mothers who are at least 16 years of age and self-identify as Black or African American. BIH aims to improve health by empowering Black/African American moms to make healthier choices for a brighter future. They accept participants at any stage of pregnancy and up to 6 months postpartum, regardless of income.

County of San Diego Community Action Partnership (CAP) Community Action Plan & Community Needs Assessment
Every two years, CAP develops a service plan that ties back to local community needs assessments and highlights the priority needs of San Diego’s low-income communities and the services CAP proposes to address them. The 2026-2027 Proposed Community Action Plan & Community Needs Assessment is available for review by scanning the QR code or visiting the CAP website. California Earned Income Tax Credit
The California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), and the Young Child Tax Credit are state tax credits for working Californians. If you qualify, you may see a reduced tax bill or a bigger refund.
