 RTFH is Updating Outreach Standards and Seeking Feedback
The RTFH, with the assistance of OrgCode Consulting, is updating the Street Outreach Standards. Originally released in 2020, the street outreach standards outline the expectations of what and how the work of street outreach is conducted throughout the Continuum of Care. All outreach workers and their supervisors, whether funded by the County, RTFH, City of San Diego, or the San Diego Housing Commission are welcome and encouraged to participate in the survey. Complete the survey by March 21, 2025 at 4:00PM. Click here to complete the survey.

Southeastern Live Well Center CBO Suite
The Southeastern Live Well Center provides a single stop for services and serves as a hub for collaboration. The Community Based Organizations (CBO) Suite is available at no cost to CBOs who serve the community. Call, email, or visit to reserve a workspace or huddle room. Reservations are available Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Grupo Esperanza - A monthly, FREE well-being group for cancer patients and their families, conducted in Spanish and led by Dr. Sara Fainstein, a breast cancer survivor. It’s a supportive space to connect, share experiences, and improve well-being together. Support groups take place the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 12pm-2pm at the Mission Hills - Hillcrest/Knox Branch Library and via Zoom.

Urban Surf 4 Kids Hanai Mentoring Program - Urban Surf 4 Kids is accepting applications for volunteers and youth participants in the 2025 Hanai Mentoring Program. Join one of six groups in San Diego County. Urban Surf 4 Kids is now accepting applications at US4K.org.

EPA Thriving Communities Grant Program - The International Community Foundation (ICF) and its partners are launching the EPA Thriving Communities Grant Program, which will provide $48 million in funding to support disadvantaged communities addressing critical environmental and health issues. ICF will distribute grants ranging from $150,000 to $350,000 to eligible nonprofits, local governments, grassroots organizations, and communities in San Diego, Orange, and Imperial counties.

NEW! Black Infant Health Program
The San Diego County Black Infant Health Program (BIH) is a FREE supportive service for pregnant women and new mothers who are at least 16 years of age and self-identify as Black or African American. BIH aims to improve health among eligible mothers and babies by empowering pregnant and mothering, Black/African American moms to make healthier choices for a brighter future. We accept participants at any stage of pregnancy and up to 6 months post-partum, regardless of income.
