Love Your Heart (LYH) is an annual event in which organizations from across the U.S. and Mexico join together to provide free blood pressure screenings to the public.

TB Exposure Reported at Palomar High School
The County’s Tuberculosis Control Program is working in close collaboration with the Sweetwater Union High School District to notify students, employees, and contractors potentially exposed to tuberculosis (TB) at Palomar High School during the 2023-2024 school year.
More than 300 County Employees Take Part in Point in Time Count
The annual event is coordinated by the Regional Task Force on Homelessness and provides a one-day count of the number of people experiencing homelessness in San Diego County, including those in emergency shelters and safe parking lots.

Enroll to Receive Reimbursement for Emergency Rides Home
If you walk, bike, carpool, vanpool, or ride transit to work in San Diego County, you can enroll in the SANDAG Guaranteed Ride Home program. Get reimbursed up to $100 per ride, up to three times a year, for emergency trips home.
Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Students in Middle and High Schools
This is the third installment in a series of reports from the National Women's Law Center analyzing state legal protections for pregnant and parenting students across 50 states and the District of Columbia. It highlights programs, schools, and state policies that have positive outcomes for young parents.
With e-bikes surging in popularity, they've become a vital tool for reducing car trips, easing school carpool lines, and encouraging eco-friendly transportation. Most teens and children who ride e-bikes have never taken a driver’s education course, yet they’re expected to safely navigate roads shared with cars. This online course addresses these knowledge gaps, empowering teens and their families to become more skilled, aware, and responsible e-bike riders.
