 Draft 2018 County BMP Design Manual
The County BMP Design Manual is being updated to incorporate changes made in the May 2018 Model BMP Design Manual and to address County specific topics.
From November 5 through November 19, a draft of the updated document and appendices will be posted for public review on the County Watershed Protection Program webpage under the "Additional Resources" heading (https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/stormwater).
Comments may be submitted through November 19, 2018.
This update includes the following revisions:
- Pollutant control and hydromodification management clarifications
- Biofiltration BMP sizing methods
- Bioretention soil media (BSM) update
- Infiltration feasibility methods
- Revised sizing factors for hydromodification management
- New guidance for structural BMP maintenance
- Self-retaining DMAs with tree wells
- New submittal forms
A seminar outlining the changes will be held on November 13, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (doors open at 12:30) at:
