Supervisor Josie Gonzales sworn in to First 5 San Bernardino Commission

First 5


On Feb. 4, 2015, Supervisor Gonzales was sworn in as a First 5 San Bernardino Commission Member along with Paul Vargas, Board member with Oxford Preparatory Academy. First 5 San Bernardino works to promote, support, and improve the early development of children from the prenatal stage to five years of age, under the guidance of the Children and Families Commission for San Bernardino, and in collaboration with the community and agencies providing services to children.

Technical Employment Training holds 4th Annual Celebration of Success

Supervisor Gonzales joined Technical Employment Training, a 501c(3) non profit business and education cooperative, in celebrating their fourth year in partnership with San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools to provide manufacturing trades education and hands on experience to train and prepare students for skilled jobs. 

Supervisor Gonzales was honored at the event for her support and advocacy towards the program. TET's mission is to provide certified employment skills training and job placement assistance to enhance the employability of job seekers, facilitate career growth opportunities for employees and assist employers in acquiring an exceptionally qualified workforce.
