County Museum Announces Exciting Installation Changes Coming to the Hall of Biodiversity
San Bernardino County Museum (SBCM) is thrilled to announce the installation of an exciting new exhibit in the Hall of Biodiversity. Following a temporary two-week closure effective Monday, March 10 through Friday, March 21, SBCM will host a soft reopening on March 22 at 11 a.m.
“We are excited to present the Hall of Biodiversity in its final form and are taking this time to ensure every detail is perfect,” said Curator of Integrated Biology Dr. Mackenzie Kirchner-Smith. “The soft opening will offer an exclusive first look at the space, where guests can experience our new exhibits and immersive displays showcasing the beauty and complexity of biodiversity across our region.”
During the two-week closure, museum staff will conduct final walkthroughs, install new animals from collections, introduce new educational materials, and incorporate unique interactive elements.
“We’re also excited to announce a special promotional giveaway sponsored by the SBCM Foundation at our upcoming soft opening event,” said SBCM Foundation Executive Director Brandon Mulder. “The first 100 SBCM Foundation and Kids Club members in attendance will receive an exclusive branded squishy polar bear stress reliever as a token to commemorate bringing back the elusive polar bear from the museum’s collections.”
This is a limited time offer, so be sure to arrive early to secure your giveaway. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of something special, see you there! Not a member already? No problem! Visit our membership website now to register or become a member at the opening.
