San Bernardino County Clerk Spreading the Love, Adding a Third location for Valentine’s Day Licenses and Ceremonies
Ralph Tauran of Grand Terrace and Lea Arabela Ongyiu of Colton were married this morning in one of the Valentine's Day-themed ceremony rooms at the San Bernardino County Clerk’s office.
The San Bernardino County Clerk is gearing up for its busiest day of the year, Valentine’s Day.
The County Clerk is responsible for the issuance of marriage licenses and performance of civil wedding ceremonies. Last year, over 9,000 licenses were issued and 4,500 ceremonies were conducted at the San Bernardino and Hesperia locations.
To accommodate the expected Valentine’s Day surge, these services will be provided at an additional location in Joshua Tree.
Valentine’s Day is a big day for both the couple “tying the knot” and County Clerk staff.
“Our busiest day of the year for marriages is here once again,” said San Bernardino County’s Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk Chris Wilhite. “Our team eagerly awaits Valentine’s Day each year. We decorate our lobbies and ceremony rooms in anticipation of celebrating the love birds wishing to tie the knot.”
Couples looking to get married through the County Clerk offices must review the marriage license requirements and complete an application at arc.sbcounty.gov/marriage prior to booking their marriage service appointment online.
