This week, the City of Salinas will install temporary, portable traffic signals at the intersection of Boronda Road and McKinnon Street.
The installation is tentatively scheduled to begin overnight on Thursday, September 18, and will last for the following two days.
To perform this work, the existing permanent traffic signals will be de-energized, or shut off, during installation.
Please drive with extra caution. The new portable signals are much shorter than the existing signals.
Please be aware and expect delays during this period. The City of Salinas encourages all drivers to give themselves extra time for their commutes, especially during school drop-off and pick-up hours.

Esta semana, la Ciudad de Salinas instalará semáforos temporales y portátiles en la intersección de Boronda Road y McKinnon Street.
La instalación está programada tentativamente para comenzar la noche del jueves 18 de septiembre y durará los dos días siguientes.
Para realizar este trabajo, los semáforos permanentes existentes se desenergizarán, o apagarán, durante la instalación.
Por favor, conduzca con extrema precaución. Las nuevas señales portátiles son mucho más cortas que las señales existentes.
Esté atento y espere retrasos durante este período. La Ciudad de Salinas anima a todos los conductores a darse tiempo extra, especialmente durante las horas de entrada y salida de la escuela.
