Construction on Phase 1 of the Boronda Road Congestion Relief Project has officially resumed following a delay caused by weather conditions. Crews have entered a preparation period to restart the project, focusing on installing drainage systems and relocating underground utilities. The preparation will take place largely outside the existing roadways.

Preliminary work at the site will include re-staking boundaries, clearing and removing vegetation and debris, and compacting the ground to support construction equipment and trucks. Unloading of equipment and the use of spotters may occur just outside roadway boundaries, and drivers and pedestrians should remain alert in these zones.  

Work will be done during nighttime hours from June 17 to June 27 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Personnel will be in place to help direct traffic.
