Almost 20 years ago, Sgt. Magaña had the amazing idea of starting a toy drive to support families in need have the Christmas day they deserve. Sgt. Magaña came up with the idea during his first year as a police officer, he was driving through Salinas on Christmas day, he approached some kids and asked they what Santa had gotten them. They said they did not get anything, so the idea sparked on his mind. From that day, every year, Sgt. Magaña purchases toys and receives donations that he loads in the trunk of his car, and on Christmas Day, he drives through East Salinas to distribute them. 🎄🎁🎅
