California Water Service and Salinas Fire Department demonstrate new water-saving DRAFTS unit
Salinas, CA – A new piece of equipment is allowing Salinas firefighters to train and test their life-saving fire equipment, which will now save more than 47,000 gallons of water – enough to fill two residential swimming pools – every time it is used. The Salinas Fire Department and California Water Service partnered on the purchase of the new DRAFTS Unit.
The media is invited to learn more about the DRAFTS Unit and watch a demonstration on how the unit works and how it will now only use 2,500 gallons of water, down from 50,000 gallons.
Remarks will begin at 9 AM followed by a demonstration of the Unit and one-on-one interviews.
