Shooting on Williams Rd.

Salinas, CA – On October 20th, 2024, at approximately 7 PM, officers received a ShotSpotter activation of 9 rounds in the 600 block of Williams Rd. This was shortly followed by a call to 911 from someone reporting shots being fired in the Williams and Bardin area.

A few minutes later, officers made contact with an 18-year-old male who sustained a single gunshot wound to his left leg. He was transported to Natividad Medical Center (NMC) where he was treated and released.

Witnesses stated that two Hispanic males in dark clothing were seen running on Williams Rd after the shooting.
