Addendum to the CASP Strategic Plan Complete
Earlier this year CASP members approved an addendum to our Comprehensive Strategic Plan on Violence Reduction. The addendum was completed by our partners at Monterey County STRYVE under Julia Muruato's leadership! The addendum includes the addition of intimate partner violence and helping develop gun violence data by participating in the California Violent Death Reporting System.
CASP welcomes our guest speakers from Kidpower California on September 18, who provide training in physical and emotional safety skills to over 20,000 Californians each year. Learn more about Kidpower California by clicking on this link https://www.kidpower.org/california/
Community Human Services (CHS) Safe Place Salinas opened on July 31 and was established to assist homeless youth between 18 and 24 years old in navigating services and find quick rehousing financing. It also provides access to food, clothes, hygiene tools, first aid products, computers and the internet. Safe Place Salinas is located on North Main Street. This is the second Safe Place CHS has opened in Monterey County.

Infant- Family Early Childhood Mental Health Training!
First 5 Monterey County (F5MC) is pleased to announce enrollment information for the FY 23/24 Infant Family and Early Childhood Mental Health (IFECMH) training series. The series is designed to strengthen and create a community of learners among the diverse workforce of Monterey County who serve children, prenatal through age five, and their families.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF THE SALINAS VALLEY, INC IS HIRING-
Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley, Inc. provides home-delivered meals to its clients in the Salinas Valley. The person in this position works 32 hours a week and may also be assigned to work on weekends, evenings or holidays. Assignment of work is the responsibility of the Program Manager.

Provides resources support and training to members of the community, staff and program participants to facilitate agency and program goals. Assist with supervision, hiring and training of direct service staff – youth leaders and program aides, and volunteers. Service Coordinator I and II levels based on size of overall responsibility including but not limited to geographic area, number of participants served, number of staff, amount of fiscal responsibility.
Responsible for facilitating the operation of a Residential Living Environment, serving the special needs of program participants involved with the criminal justice system, who are under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Provide medical observation and substance abuse referral. Maintain safe, cooperative, caring atmosphere.
The Preschool Service Corps Member (PSC Member) provides direct service in a preschool classroom to assigned preschool children. The PSC member takes direction from the classroom teacher to provide high-quality interaction with assigned children who are not yet at age level in language and literacy measures. She/he will be responsible for providing planned activities that are engaging, active, and hands-on; document all activities, child progress, and outcomes.
The Grants Manager will be responsible for managing an active grants calendar and writing, reporting, and researching grants from foundations, corporations, and government funders. Additionally, the Grants Manager will assist in preparing a number of supporting documents for grant proposals, such as cover letter, budget, budget narrative, project plans, program evaluation, etc. This position will require close collaboration with the Community Impact team and will ensure resources for United Way priorities are met or exceeded
The Community Impact Director, Financial Stability oversees and implements UWMC’s asset building and affordable housing programs through partnerships, grant making, direct service, and advocacy. Our goal is for Monterey residents to be economically self-sufficient, with more opportunities for prosperity. These programs and services are supported by grants from foundations, government contracts, corporate and individual donors.
