Suspect Arrested After Shooting on Connelly Court
Salinas, CA – On Thursday at 11:13PM, officers responded to Connelly Court for a victim of a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, they found a homeowner holding down Isaac Salinas Saldana (21) in the backyard. Saldana was identified as the shooting suspect, and he was taken into custody. Inside the house, a 36-year-old male victim was bleeding from the head. It was eventually determined that Saldana, who resides at a neighbor’s residence, entered the victim’s home and confronted the victim. Saldana fired his weapon at the victim, striking him in the head. Saldana was then confronted by other residents and restrained until officers arrived. The victim was transported to a local medical facility. It is unknown at this time why the confrontation occurred.
