Shooting on Williams Road
Salinas, CA – On Saturday, September 9th at approximately 11:00 pm, Salinas Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Williams Rd. and Bardin Rd. While responding, Officers were advised of a victim of a shooting in the parking lot near the McDonalds. On arrival, they located a 19-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The investigation revealed that prior to being shot, the victim was in the parking lot of the Circle K on N. Sanborn and Boronda Rd. and may have been involved in a confrontation with an unknown subject. After the confrontation, he drove to the parking lot on Williams Rd. where he was shot. After the shooting, the suspect was reported to have fled in a dark-colored sedan. Detectives believe these two incidents may be related.
