Looking for a way to find time for an exercise class during the week? Good news! You can exercise during your lunch break. Western Health Advantage is offering 30-minute, virtual classes Wednesdays and Fridays through their "Community Fit" program until June 28, 2024.
In addition to Community Fit, Western Health Advantage also offers a "Ted Talk-style" series covering topics such as" Heart Health" set for Feb. 27, "Restorative Sleep" on March 26, and more.

Gov. Newsom appointed Richard C. Miadich to the Sacramento County bench on Jan. 29. Miadich has served as Chair of the California Fair Political Practices Commission since
2019. The commission is responsible for regulating statewide campaign
finance, governmental ethics and lobbying activity. Prior to his appointment to the FPPC, Miadich worked at Olson Hagel & Fishburn LLP, where he held several positions including Managing Partner, Partner
and Associate.

President Biden announced his intent to nominate Judge Dena M. Coggins to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on Feb. 7. Judge Coggins has served as Presiding Judge of Juvenile Court since February 2023.The nomination must be confirmed by a vote of the U.S. Senate.

Sarah Thompson, Deputy Clerk, Sean Mallory, Family Court Manager, and Commissioner Benjamin Cassady joined the court on Feb. 13, 2024. Prior to joining the bench, Commissioner Cassady worked in the Placer County DA's office.
