Dear Friends and Second District Residents,
How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon. December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon? - Dr. Seuss
With the holidays approaching, we are reminded to take a moment to rest and enjoy our family and friends during this festive time. Many of us have holiday traditions, regardless of what holiday you are celebrating. These traditions are important to building a strong bond between family and our community. They give us a sense of belonging and a way to express what is important to us. They connect us to our history and help us celebrate generations of family.
However, it is also important to remember that not all people are as fortunate as we may be. That is why I encourage you to take the time to give back this holiday season, whether by volunteering your time or sharing gifts and food. A single act of generosity can create the positive change that children need right now. I hope you do your best to give back this holiday season.
With the new year comes the new districting, and I am beyond excited to see what is in store for our future. In 2023, we will say goodbye to the City of Riverside and thank them for being such a fantastic community. We will welcome the cities of Canyon Lake and Lake Elsinore, along with the unincorporated areas of Lake Mathews, Temescal Valley, Woodcrest, Warm Springs, and Lakeland Village. I look forward to learning more about these areas and establishing relationships with our new constituents.
May this wonderful holiday season fill your heart with love, your home with joy, and your life with laughter. Wishing everyone at your home health, peace, and happiness in the coming year.
Sincerely,
|
