Spiegel Spotlight 2022

Dear Friends and Second District Residents,

With Labor Day behind us, we must now prepare for the twenty-first anniversary of September 11th.

May we honor the many heroes of that day – the thousands of courageous first responders who rushed to aid those in need, putting themselves in imminent danger to save the lives of others. Their actions, and the sacrifices of thousands more in defense of our freedoms, continue to inspire us.

To those serving or with relatives serving our nation, I thank you for your service and sacrifice. To those still missing or killed in action, we have not forgotten you.

September is also National Suicide Prevention Month, an annual movement to inform the public about suicide prevention and the warning signs of suicide. All month long, we unite to promote suicide prevention awareness. For more information on what you can do to raise awareness of suicide prevention, please visit 988lifeline.org or call the suicide and crisis lifeline at 988.

Be sure to take a moment out of your day to hug your loved ones a little tighter this month, and never forget that each of us has something to be grateful for in this land of the free and home of the brave.

Sincerely,

Karen Spiegel's Signature
