Rising COVID-19 Cases Trigger Governor’s Limited Stay at Home Order

It is discouraging news we must report today. On November 19, 2020, the Governor issued a Limited Stay at Home Order that requires all non-essential businesses for Counties in the Purple Tier to close from 10:00pm to 5:00am. The order does allow restaurants to remain open for take-out past these hours. As the City of Riverside is currently in the Purple Tier, effective November 21, 2020, all non-essential businesses are required to close as per the order. A list of essential business can be found at: https://covid19.ca.gov/essential-workforce/. This Order will impact our Temporary Outdoor Flex Space program participants as well. The Order Expires on December 21, 2020.

The City of Riverside recognizes the challenges faced by our business community, and the discouraging nature of this news. We are committed to working with our businesses to ease the burdens of these trying times wherever possible, while assuring that the safety of your customers and our entire community remains paramount. Please keep watching our website and emails for further information and resources.
