03/31/2020: Temporary Postponement of Tenant Evictions Due to COVID-19

On March 31, 2020, the Riverside City Council adopted a resolution establishing a temporary 60-day moratorium on evictions due to nonpayment of residential and commercial rent for those whose income was directly and negatively impacted by COVID-19. This moratorium will be reviewed for termination or extension by the City Council on May 31st, 2020. Read more (English) or Read more (Spanish)

03/31/2020: City Council Extended Expiration Dates for City-Issued Entitlements

City Council ratified the Order of the Director of Emergency Services to extend the expiration dates for those City issued entitlements and construction related permits that have an expiration date that falls within the Emergency Declaration, starting from March 13, 2020 to an undetermined end date, by an additional 6 months in light of the minimum staffing in to slow down the spread of COVID-19. This Order to extend the expiration dates also minimizes potential economic impacts that may be incurred by the development and construction community. This Order shall not include parcel and tract map approvals subject to the Subdivision Map Act of the State of California.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Loan Advance (EIDL)

Small business owners in all U.S. states, Washington D.C., and territories are eligible to apply for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan advance of up to $10,000. The SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program provides small businesses with working capital loans of up to $2 million that can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing. The loan advance will provide economic relief to businesses that are currently experiencing a temporary loss of revenue. This loan advance will not have to be repaid.

SBA Express Bridge Loans

Enables small businesses who currently have a business relationship with an SBA Express Lender to access up to $25,000 quickly. Learn more

The SBA is providing a financial reprieve to small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn more
