The August Drive Forward Truck Forum Infrastructure Workgroup will focus on navigating a fleet charging infrastructure project from concept to completion. Starting with initial infrastructure concept, our team of experts will walk through fleet and site evaluations, utility interactions, project planning, applying for funding, and projects in action. The discussion will emphasize funding aspects including identifying funding opportunities that best fit your project, elements of a successful application, and the importance of documentation along the way needed for cost reimbursement.

Drive Forward Truck Forum Infrastructure Workgroup meetings include existing panel members and invited guests. The names and affiliations of the existing panel members can be found at Drive Forward Infrastructure Workgroup website; however, the panel is subject to change based on the evolving needs of the group. These meetings are also open to the public via Zoom registration above, which will be available through the end of the meeting. Members of the public may ask questions using the Zoom Q&A feature, which will be answered as time permits.
Panelists and invited guests are responsible for ensuring their desktop client or mobile app can support Zoom and that the program is loaded and working before the scheduled meeting. Please read information on installing and using Zoom for support. CARB staff do not provide support for Zoom software but will serve to host and administer Zoom functions throughout the meetings. Background
The Drive Forward Truck Forums Infrastructure Workgroup is a part CARB’s effort to advance the state’s clean-air and climate goals by partnering with state and local agencies, industry, and utilities to support planning and deployment of zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) fleet infrastructure. Working closely with these partners, CARB helps ensure that electric vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure expand at the pace needed to meet California’s ZEV deployment targets, as outlined in Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-79-20. Through these collaborations, CARB addresses challenges related to infrastructure development and operation while supporting solutions tailored to the needs of California’s fleets and drivers.
The Drive Forward Truck Forums Infrastructure Workgroup was previously part of the Truck Regulation Implementation Group (TRIG). In 2023, CARB created the TRIG to discuss topics related to zero-emission truck regulations, including infrastructure. Drive Forward Initiative
The Drive Forward initiative reaffirms California’s leadership in clean air and climate policy, setting the course for the next phase of the state’s light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicle programs.
Drive Forward continues California’s commitment to meet state and national air quality standards, achieve climate and clean air goals, and protect public health through strong vehicle standards. Drive Forward will support the development of light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicle regulations, incentive programs, outreach and education, and supportive programs and policies that enable clean vehicle use. This effort will build on existing tools and resources key to advancement of clean technologies.

Due to budget constraints, we are updating our process for providing language interpretation services (e.g., Spanish, American Sign Language, etc.) at public meetings. In accordance with the Dymally-Alatorre Bilingual Services Act (Government Code 7290-7299.8), language interpretation will be provided when at least 5% of anticipated attendees request such services. Registered participants may request services on behalf of others in advance to ensure their needs are being met. You, or someone on your behalf, must request language interpretation services from us at least 10 calendar days before the meeting date.
