Background
On April 17, 2026, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) released the Notice of Public Meeting to Consider 2026 State Implementation Plan Revisions for the California Extreme Ozone Nonattainment Areas (2026 Extreme Ozone SIP Revision).
As of May 18, 2026, staff has identified and is working to correct transcription errors in the 2026 Extreme Ozone SIP Revision through an errata to be issued soon, which will be made available on CARB’s Website.
As a result of the forthcoming errata, the comment deadline for the 2026 Extreme Ozone SIP Revision for the May 28, 2026 Board Meeting has been extended to Friday, May 22, 2026.
Written Comment Period & Comment Submittal
Interested members of the public may present comments orally or in writing at the meeting and may provide comments by postal mail or by electronic submittal before the meeting. To be considered by the Board, written comments not physically submitted at the meeting, must be received no later than May 22, 2026, and addressed to one of the following:
