The Drive Forward Truck Forum: Outreach Workgroup is a new workgroup created to further the Drive Forward initiative. The Drive Forward initiative supports the development of light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicle programs, incentive programs, outreach and education, and other supportive programs and policies that enable clean vehicle use. The workgroup will focus on developing clear messaging, outreach strategies, and tools to help fleet owners, stakeholders, and the general public better understand and participate in the Drive Forward initiative. Feedback from these meetings will help CARB develop new programs and standards to reduce emissions. Participation is voluntary.
The workgroup will build on the Truck Regulation Implementation Group (TRIG) meetings, which supported actions to reduce emissions. For the first meeting, the panel will consist of individuals who participated in previous TRIG meetings focused on outreach and border-related issues. The Drive Forward Truck Forum: Outreach Workgroup panel is subject to change based on the evolving needs of the group, and interested stakeholders may be added to the panel in the future.
The first meeting of the Drive Forward Truck Forum: Outreach Workgroup will be held on Zoom on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time. The meetings are open to the public with time set aside for oral comment and questions as time permits. Registration is required to participate.

Drive Forward Initiative
The Drive Forward initiative reaffirms California’s leadership in clean air and climate policy, setting the course for the next phase of the state’s light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicle programs.
Drive Forward continues California’s commitment to meet state and national air quality standards, achieve climate and clean air goals, and protect public health through strong vehicle standards.
This effort will further advance the clean technologies available today to ensure California meets its air quality and climate obligations.
