What is happening?
This message is for information purposes and does not indicate you currently have a pending citation. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) Enforcement Division is transitioning to email delivery for selected citation notices. This change will streamline communication, reduce delays, and support our commitment to sustainability and efficiency.
Who is impacted?
Email recipients may include vehicle and equipment owners who have received a citation and are registered in the following CARB reporting systems: ARBER, CTC-VIS, and/or DOORS. If you are receiving this message, your contact information is currently reported in one or more of these systems. Additionally, you may elect to receive emailed citation notices by contacting the citation by providing information about your citation and preferred email address.
When will Enforcement begin emailing citations?
Email delivery of citation notices will begin November 1, 2025. After this date, selected official notices will be sent electronically to cited parties with a reported email address.
What do I need to do?
-
Watch for emails from CARB containing citation notices as attachments. These will include details about any outstanding violations, required corrective actions, and due dates.
-
Verify your contact information in ARBER, CTC-VIS, and/or DOORS to ensure you receive notices promptly.
- If you need assistance, or want to confirm the email came from CARB, contact the Citations hotline at (916) 322-8275 or email citations@arb.ca.gov.
