HARP Update

Name Changes for Two Isocyanate-containing Substances



The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has updated the health tables for the Hot Spots Analysis and Reporting Program (HARP) Air Dispersion Modeling and Risk Tool (ADMRT), Risk Assessment Standalone Tool (RAST), and Emission Inventory Module (EIM). Additionally, the EIM POLLUTANT utility table has been updated. 

The updated isocyanate-containing substance name changes are as follows

CAS Number Previous Substance Name Updated Substance Name
3779-63-3 Hexamethylene-1,6-diisocyanate homopolymer Hexamethylene diisocyanate isocyanurate trimer
28182-81-2 Hexane, 1,6-diisocyanato-, homopolymer Hexamethylene diisocyanate homopolymer

 

To get the new database, select the “Help > Check for Updates” feature in the main menu of each program.  This feature will automatically download and update the databases.  Once downloaded, restart each program to use the new databases.
