Evening Community Meeting: Clean Transportation Incentives – Clean Mobility Investments, San Diego County Tribal Tour

Public Workgroup on July 15, 2025

en español

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) hosts a series of monthly evening community meetings on the third Tuesday of most months. The purpose of these meetings is to host focused discussions on CARB’s Clean Transportation Incentives Funding Plan (Funding Plan) development process. The Funding Plan explains how CARB will spend money on projects related to zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) to help improve air quality and reduce the impacts of climate change. Although the Funding Plan is generally developed between May and November, CARB staff will continue to hold monthly evening community meetings outside of the Funding Plan development timeline to provide updates on incentive project implementation, other CARB initiatives, as well as to provide a forum for community members to express their thoughts, concerns, suggestions, and to ask relevant questions.

During this meeting, CARB staff will give a summary of the first Funding Plan Workgroup for Clean Mobility Investments. Staff will provide updates on CARB's Clean Mobility Investments, which include Clean Mobility Options, Clean Mobility in Schools, Sustainable Transportation Equity Project, and Planning and Capacity Building projects. Staff will share outcomes, successes, lessons learned and begin policy and funding discussions for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The second presentation will be a summary of the San Diego County Tribal and Rural Clean Energy and Mobility Tour. CARB staff organized a tour in partnership with tribal communities across San Diego County to help build tribal relationships and to learn directly from local tribal leaders and communities about their transportation needs.

If you would like to suggest a topic(s) for future evening community meetings, please let us know at the next meeting or email your suggestion(s) to our general email address CleanTransportationIncentives@arb.ca.gov.

The workgroup meeting will be held via Zoom on the following date and time:

Date: Tuesday, July 15, 2025

Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (PT)

Location: Zoom Meeting/Teleconference

Background

The annual Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives is a detailed outline of how money will be spent on the Low Carbon Transportation Program, Air Quality Improvement Program (AQIP), and related funds. This plan is created each fiscal year to guide the allocation of funds appropriated to CARB through the State budget and includes information on CARB's goals and strategies for investing in clean technology. Although the Funding Plan is generally developed between May and November, CARB staff will continue to hold monthly evening community meetings outside of the Funding Plan development process to provide updates on other CARB initiatives as well as a forum for community members to express their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions.
