The following pathway is being released for a 10-day public comment period:

B077201: Fuel Producer: Messer LLC (f.k.a. Linde LLC) (L012); Facility Name: North Las Vegas Liquid Hydrogen Plant AL (F00640); Liquefied Hydrogen produced at the AL North Las Vegas Hydrogen Plant in Las Vegas, NV using biomethane derived from landfill gas generated at the Live Oak Landfill in Conley, GA; finished Liquefied Hydrogen fuel is transported in tanker trailers, re-gasified and compressed at the refueling station in California. (3.0)

The public comment period will end on March 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM (PDT).

Background

The Low Carbon Fuel Standard, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California 20 percent by 2030, is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels.
