The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released updated health tables for the Hot Spots Analysis and Reporting Program (HARP) Air Dispersion Modeling and Risk Tool (ADMRT), Risk Assessment Standalone Tool (RAST) and Emission Inventory Module (EIM). The new health databases include a revised cancer inhalation unit risk and slope factors for cobalt sulfate heptahydrate and water-soluble cobalt compounds. The revised factors were adopted by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) on August 4, 2023.
To get the new health database, select the “Help > Check for Updates” feature in the main menu of each program. This feature will automatically download and update the health databases. Once downloaded, restart each program to use the new health databases.
