As we approach ten years of California Climate Investments, we are looking to the future of the program and learning from our journey thus far. We invite you to share your thoughts on how California Climate Investments can further support the development of programs, projects, and resources to serve communities like yours while advancing State climate goals.

California Climate Investments covers a vibrant collection of programs, audiences, and project types that range from community-led projects (e.g., community car sharing, or composting) to voucher programs serving households (e.g., rebates for the purchase of cleaner cars or woodstove replacements) to large-scale public agency projects (e.g., affordable housing and transit) and beyond.   Together, these programs are designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen the economy, improve public health and the environment, and provide meaningful benefits to priority populations.

We’d like to know your suggestions as we look forward to what comes next! We invite you to complete a survey that will help us design California Climate Investments’ upcoming work, this includes:

  1. Integrating your priorities, where feasible, into the Funding Guidelines for Agencies Administering California Climate Investments (Funding Guidelines) update, which provide direction for agencies that administer California Climate Investments programs.
  2. Identifying resources, guides, and tools to support grantees, agencies, potential applicants, and other partners in accessing funds, designing programs, learning about programs available, and carrying out projects.
  3. Developing new engagement approaches to better reach all areas of the State, with a focus on priority populations. This includes how we can better get the word out about our programs, resources, and opportunities to participate in shaping our core documents, like the Funding Guidelines.

Please complete the survey by October 7th, 2022. Complete responses will be entered to win one of 25 $20 Target gift cardsIf you have questions, please contact GGRFprogram@arb.ca.gov.

Who should participate in this survey?

Anyone and everyone, including individuals, organizations, or public agencies. It is not necessary to have experience with California Climate Investments or resource development to participate, and we welcome responses ranging from those engaging with us for the first time to those that have been involved in an application or project. Whatever your vision is, we want to hear about it!

How will survey responses be used?

CARB will use responses from engagement efforts like this to identify potential updates to the Funding Guidelines, develop resources to help stakeholders achieve the objectives and principles of California Climate Investments, and craft new engagement approaches to expand access to funding. Throughout this process, all input will be considered, as appropriate, not just for the Funding Guidelines, but for all aspects of the California Climate Investments program.

Learn more about the Funding Guidelines update process, engagement efforts, and other upcoming work on the California Climate Investments website.
