The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is officially releasing the new OFFROAD2021 update to its online mobile source emissions inventory platform. This web platform is the primary tool that CARB uses to provide emission inventory details from mobile sources (both on-road and off-road) including population, activity, and fuel use. The new off-road emissions inventory update provides a comprehensive overview of off-road equipment by integrating data from several updated off-road models including,
- Agricultural Equipment: AG2021
- Commercial Harbor Craft: CHC2021
- Transport Refrigeration Units: TRU2021
- Locomotive Linehaul: LineHaul2021
- Locomotive Switcher: Switcher2020
- Small Off-Road Equipment: SORE2020
- Ocean Going Vessel At-Berth Inventory: OGV2019
- Recreational Vehicles: RV2018
- Locomotive Passenger and Switcher Inventories: LOCO2017
- Pleasure Craft: PC2014
- Outboard Marine Tanks: OMT2008
- Gas Can: GC2007
Additionally, this web platform includes previous inventories for Construction and Mining, Industrial, and Oil Drilling (2011 Model), Cargo Handling Equipment (2011 Model), Portable Equipment (2017 Model) and additional categories from OFFROAD2007.
