California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff invites you to participate in a public workshop to discuss CARB’s review of the San Diego Air Pollution Control District (SDAPCD), as required by Assembly Bill 423 (AB 423, Gloria.) Due to COVID travel limitations, this review has been delayed from the original AB 423 timeline. CARB staff is also pleased to announce the publication of the Update on the California Air Resources Board’s Review of the SDAPCD that describes how the review will be conducted. A final report containing findings and recommendations will be released in Spring of 2022.
This will be a remote-only meeting. CARB staff will conduct this workshop via Zoom, a web-based video conferencing platform. Live Spanish translation services will be provided. During the meeting, public participants will be able to ask questions, provide comments, and fully participate in the workshop. The workshop will occur on the date and time specified below:

Background
To meet the requirements of AB 423, CARB is evaluating the SDAPCD programs put in place to protect public health and looking for areas of potential improvement. This workshop is the second public workshop on this topic. Due to COVID travel limitations, this review has been delayed from the original AB 423 timeline. CARB has recently released an interim report that describes how the review will be conducted and will publish a final report containing findings and recommendations in Spring of 2022. In this meeting, our goal is to present a summary of the information in the interim report, including the methods and metrics for evaluating the District programs.
