The California Air Resources Board (CARB) invites you to participate in remote-access (Zoom) workshops on the Draft Wildfire Smoke Clean Air Center Grant Guidelines developed pursuant to AB 836 (Wicks, Chapter 393, Statutes of 2019). The goal of this new grant program is to create a network of clean air centers serving vulnerable communities previously subject to high exposure to smoke events. These centers will provide residents with respite from wildfires and other smoke events. Grant funding will be used to upgrade ventilation systems and/or purchase portable air cleaners to provide protection from health impacts of wildfire smoke.
Two public workshops will be held via Zoom at the following dates and times. They will cover identical topics so please register for the workshop that works best for you. The draft guidelines and workshop slides will be posted on the program webpage before the workshops.
