CARB is Building the Innovative Clean Transit Reporting Tool

All Transit Agencies Are Advised to Submit the Transit Agency Information Spreadsheet No Later Than March 22, 2021

The Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) regulation requires all California transit agencies, regardless of the size, to annually submit and update their agency and bus fleet information, starting March 2021 (title 13, California Code of Regulations, section 2023.8). The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is currently building a web-based reporting tool, the Innovative Clean Transit Reporting Tool (ICTRT), for transit agencies to use. Concurrently, CARB is preparing a guidance document on the reporting procedures and ICTRT functionality. CARB will also schedule a webinar demonstrating the use of ICTRT once it is launched.

Before the launch of ICTRT, CARB will pre-populate transit agencies’ information into ICTRT to save transit agencies time and streamline the account creation process. Please download the Transit Agency Information spreadsheet, fill it out, and send the completed spreadsheet to ICT@arb.ca.gov by 5 p.m. March 22, 2021.

Information Spreadsheet

Please ensure the information is accurate and complete. Incorrect or incomplete information will cause a delay in creating or gaining access to your transit agency account.

CARB wants to ensure transit agencies have sufficient time to learn and use this new reporting tool and submit the required information. CARB will notify transit agencies via the ICT list-server once ICTRT is available to use. The reporting site will remain open through May 31, 2021, to facilitate the reporting.
