Tentative Agenda

Background
The past several decades have seen dramatic improvements in air quality as a result of regulations that reduced emissions from stationary and mobile sources. However, substantial additional emissions reductions are necessary to meet more stringent ozone air quality standards and California’s long-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals. CARB is expanding its mobile source analysis tools to support air quality planning focused on achieving these goals.
The EMFAC model is the primary tool that CARB uses to assess emissions from on-road vehicles including cars, trucks, and buses. This will be the third and final public workshop to discuss the development of the latest version of the EMFAC model, also known as EMFAC202x. At the webinar, staff will provide a brief description of updates, emission impacts, and the differences between the new estimates and those from the prior version of the model, EMFAC2017.
