Public Work Group Meetings for the Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) Program

The California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) Funding Agricultural Replacement Measures for Emission Reductions (FARMER) Program provides incentive funding for agricultural harvesting equipment, heavy-duty trucks, agricultural pump engines, tractors, and other equipment used in agricultural operations.

Though the FARMER Program Guidelines describe project categories currently available for funding in the FARMER Program, additional project categories and modifications to an existing project category are under development by CARB staff.  These proposed additional project categories would allow air districts greater flexibility in project funding and help to streamline implementation.  CARB staff are holding public work group meetings to seek input from stakeholders on the following proposed additional and modified project categories: heavy-duty agricultural trucks, large agricultural equipment, and agricultural utility terrain vehicles (UTVs).  More details about the proposed project categories will be available prior to the work group meetings.

These work group meetings will provide an opportunity for public stakeholders to engage with CARB staff to develop specific eligibility criteria, incentive funding levels, requirements, and other criteria associated with the proposed new and modified eligible project categories.  Input from these meetings will be incorporated into the final project criteria before being approved and being made available for funding by local air districts.
