Purpose of Workshop

This workshop is the next step in the public process to develop potential amendments to the Cap-and-Trade Regulation.  Staff invites stakeholders to participate in a workshop to discuss potential changes to the Regulation based on Board Resolution 17-21; AB 398, which provides specific direction for the design of a post-2020 Cap-and-Trade Program; and the need for clarification or other improvements.  Staff will provide updates on the potential regulatory changes, process, and tentative schedules.

Following the workshop, stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide written comments during an informal comment period, which will conclude at 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on Friday, March 16, 2018.

All interested stakeholders are invited to attend.  A live webcast of the workshop will be available.

Materials that will be discussed at the workshop will be available on CARB’s Cap-and-Trade Workshops and Meetings webpage no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific time on February 23, 2018.
