Sustainable Agricultural Land Conservation Program (SALC)


Placer County has been awarded a planning grant of $500,000 from the Department of Conservation through the Sustainable Agricultural Land Conservation Program (SALC). This initiative is a crucial step in safeguarding our region's agricultural heritage and conserving our prime farmland.

California Small Agricultural Business Drought & Flood Relief Grant Program

 Are you a small agricultural farmer or business
impacted by drought?

This grant program will provide relief to small agricultural businesses that experienced a decline in annual gross receipts or gross profits due to drought or storm flood conditions. Groups one and two are extended to February 15, 2024. Drought Group three is expected to open in May 2024 (Date TBD).


This grant opportunity is being processed on a first-come, first-serve basis so businesses should apply as soon as possible. Learn more and apply here.
